| Andrew Bright the winner of the Rep. Primaries |
This weeks primaries were very exciting. At the end of the day, Mr.Brunswick decided to go ahead and vote and the candidates were watching in anticipation as each voter placed his or her slip into the red bowl. Joann Yang voluteered to count the results and as each name was called she would tally it on the board. It was as if the votes were placed in a certain way to leave the public on the edge of their seats. For every "Kyle" there was a "Manisha" for the Democratic Party. After it looked as if the race would be between both of them, Grant Hix pulled some votes also. At the end it was all down to one vote, which went to Kyle making the race a tie. The results were Hix 3 , Manisha 8, Kyle 8.Surprised, the public had to vote for the Democratic nominee again, this time it being between Banga and Norton. Although it looked as if it would be a tie, Norton managed to edge out Banga by a couple of votes. The results were Manisha 8, Kyle 11.
For the Republican nomination, the race was just as tight. At first it looked as if Leegun would win the nomination, but Bright began to catch up with him. At the end as one "Leegun" was recorded one "Andrew" would also. The results came to be that Andrew Bright beat Leegun by one vote. The results were Bright 6 and Leegun 5.
That means that this years presidential race will be between Democrat Kyle Norton and Republican Andrew Bright. This will be an interesting race, and will probably be a close one. But will there be a third party candidate running this year?
